Daniel Atenyi
Daniel Atenyi is a Ugandan-born artist that uses charcoal and mixed media to create portraiture that tells stories. He has transformed his skill from doing realism drawing, which was his starting point, into a combination of realism and abstract drawing while picking inspiration from indigenous cultures as a foundation for the majority of his current work.
As a visual artist, he has evolved from a scholar into an artist that’s culturally aware, continually merging skill and knowledge to create beautiful charcoal pieces.
He continues to experiment with various media to create new visual representations with each new drawing he makes.
