My artworks tell stories on personal and collective histories to cope with what it means to be vulnerable in the modern world. I touch on my weaknesses and vulnerabilities and share what I have learned about life. To talk about the things that are plaguing our society and through that, we create solutions for our society. I approach my subjects as vividly detailed descriptions in expressive postures or anonymous blanks, using a clean vibrant acrylics pallet with charcoal on recycled paper. The vibrant colors represent “Hope”. I use the subjects in my compositions to share the art of critical interaction through storytelling, marrying beauty with deep conversations.
I use recycled paper as a metaphor, representing the turn of events. From bad news to good news, ugliness to beauty, vulnerability to indivisibility, and from hopelessness to hopefulness. I work with recycled paper to also contribute to the issues of waste management and environmental conservation, advocating for zero waste.
