The colossal of liberty that the Statue of Liberty represents.
The Mother of Exiles – the embodiment of opportunity and hope greets millions as she ushers them to the land of the free. A universal symbol of freedom.
She holds ice cream – despite the appeal, the ice cream cone is very delicately fleeting, it’s gonna melt and crumble away before you know it. The contemplations associated with the pursuit of happiness; the egalitarian American Dream, and contemporary culture’s portrayal of the ideals of this ethos.
Objectively speaking, what are your freedoms?
This is part of a triptych series that was inspired by the movements and conversations that ensued from George Floyd’s murder and its rumination.
